Professional Counselling With Adults

In our life today we have so much responsibilities and at times stress. At times, things happen that we cannot handle or makes us feel unhappy and depressed. Our children behave in a way that we don’t understand or know how to handle.

Counselling is a process of talking about and working through your personal problems with a counsellor. The counsellor helps you to address your problems in a way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self-awareness. The counsellor also helps the clients with skills to make a positive change in their own or their childrens lives.

Play Therapy

Sometimes children present a certain behaviour that we as parents don’t understand. Their behaviour suddenly changes. The children can present with the following changes:

Behaviour problems

Potty training problems

Trauma

Divorce

Poor relationships with friends

Death in the family

Family problems

Academic problems

A method of specialized children’s counselling. It uses toys and playing to resolve psychological or social difficulties. Seen as the most developmentally relevant form of therapeutic interventions for children.

Guidance Through Academic Problems

The pressure on children today makes it difficult for some children to cope. They learn hard but still struggle at school. The therapist sits with the child and helps them to learn how to study.

The term academic support may refer to a wide variety of instructional methods, educational services or school resources provided to students in the effort to help them accelerate their learning progress, catch up with their peers, meet learning standards, or generally succeed in school.

Sex Education Program

For parents it is important to teach our children about sex and how to keep themselves safe. For some parents it is a very difficult topic to discuss.

The “talk” with our children about sex can be uncomfortable or challenging. As parents we don’t always know how much to share and what to say. This program is there to help parents on the best way to approach this topic. The program can be completed with the parent alone or with parent and child together.
